Dr. Covan graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1989. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, Esca-Rosa Dental Society and the Seattle Study Club.

Dr. Covan graduated from Escambia High School in 1980. He is active in community affairs, and each year, he speaks to the third grade class at Hellen Caro Elementary School about dental health. He is a member and past president of the Warrington Kiwanis Club. He has practiced in Pensacola since 1989. He also enjoys fishing and golfing.
